Everyone is invited to participate in the various music opportunities at LUMC and enjoy . . . praising God through vocal and instrumental music selections . . . singing hymns . . . singing choral anthems that enhance the worship services . . . fellowship with other committed Christians. There are several ways to be a part of the Music Ministry:
Sanctuary Choir serves as an opportunity for individuals (high school age - adult) to be engaged in a choral music group that presents music appropriate for a Traditional, Praise Contemporary, or Blended Worship Service. The Sanctuary Choir presents anthems at the 9:30am Sunday morning worship service and at Special Services throughout the year. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm in the Chapel.
Hand Bell Choir serves as an opportunity for individuals (high school age - adult) to participate in an instrumental group. No experience is necessary to be a member of the Hand Bell Choir - we offer "hands-on" training. Rehearsals are scheduled according to the availability of the particpant and church facilities.
Special Music (both vocal and instrumental) is needed throughout the year. This is an opportunity for individuals of all ages to share God's word through solos and/or small group presentations.
A Praise/Contemporary Worship Service is held at 11:40am on Sunday mornings in Fellowship Hall. The music at this service is led by the Praise Band and Praise Chorus.
Children are given an opportunity to experience a music activity at both the Pathways Program on Wednesday evenings and Sunday School on Sunday mornings.
